SUNDAY CHURCH AND MONDAY SET-UP

Sunday, we had the privilege of participating in a Karen Worship Service. As you can see, it's open on all sides, allowing for nice breezes to cool everyone off. To begin the service, the "COS Choir" sang, (watch out, Ron Matthews!)

Fortunately, the Youth Choir balanced things out...

Two cute little girls brought the offering up and bowed for the prayer.

And then a famous international preacher let'er rip,... the message being salvaged, no doubt, by a gifted translator.

After church, we stopped off to eat, and did our best to control a couple members of the team. Honest, it was Coke. Promise!

And then we headed back to the hotel in our faithful Taxi-Van...with the open back. Francesca is really getting used to it!

And then today, Monday, we headed out to the Conference Center to get everything set up. Here we are putting together the 200+ colored "Gospel Hearts" that had been prepared by TONS of faithful COS volunteers. THANK YOU!!!

Awaiting the Karen attendees for the final step.

And then those GREAT BANNERS, with their warm greetings and pictures AND HANDS from the COS kids.

Let's put 'em up!

Everything is set. As we left we prayed over all of these empty chairs which will soon be filled by 200+ Karen children's workers. Some are coming on foot, taking 2-3 days to make it here. May God bless them and impact them so that they can make an eternal impact in the lives of their precious children.

IT ALL STARTS TOMORROW AT 7:30 PM. Stay tuned!

Hi, SS teachers and kids, AWANA Leaders and clubbers,
Thank you for your prayers. God is reminding us that we have an amazing support team standing with us in the US. You are here with us in Thailand.
We start our conference tonight and are looking forward to meeting the Karen people in person... some walking to the conference for 4 days.
God is building our confidence and vision for these dear believers that they would grow in their understanding that God wants to have a personal relationship with them. Looking forward to His work in our midst.
Thank you for serving with us. Keep wearing the Thailand t-shirt. :)

  3. Hey TT-ers ("Thai Team-ers")! Looks as if the preparations have been made, the vision is cast, and the Lord is about to do His work and touch the lives of the Karen people. AMEN! Of course, I realize as I write that all of these words should be in the past tense because we are a day away. Glad it is not up to me to figure these things out -- thank you, Lord, for being our celestial glue. Keep us current with His mighty work. May the Lord Jesus keep and bless you.

  4. Hi team,

Great job on the blog. You've drawn us in with all the great pictures. We can't feel the heat but we have something of an idea because it's been 90 here in Philly.

May the Lord keep you safe and bless every step.

Will be looking for the next update.
